Barcelona shine at Spanish Women Super Cup
Barcelona dominated Real Sociedad this Sunday on an incredible 3-0 win, extending their 58 games unbeaten streak in domestic competition. Just as their male counterpart they’ve won the Super Cup and in what a way.
Barca dominated the entire match with an astonishing participation by Aitana Bonmatí. Aitana scored one goal on the first half (13′), another on the beginning of the second (47′) and closed with a las minute assist (96′) giving the win to her team.
A huge merit is to be awarded to Real Sociedad whom have seen a great improvement over the years. On 2020, they lost the final against Barca but that time it was 10-1. Meanwhile they demonstrated better performance this time around and last season they even ended second in Liga F.
Barcelona were able to achieve this victory without to great player: Alexia Putellas and Caroline Graham. Both are currently out due to injuries.
There’s still a lot of suspense on Barcelona’s part thanks to the fact that they might be facing expulsion from the Copa de la Reina. This is still to be determined next week.
