Real Madrid get their ticket to the Semifinals

The Madrid derby gave us quite the spectacle with an incredible comeback from Real Madrid.

Atletico started the match by wining 0-1 with a goal from Morata (19′). They dominated the first half completely.

On the second half, the story changed. Real Madrid came onto the pitch much stronger and with eyes on the target. Rodrygo (79′) opened the scoring board for them tying the game. Due to this the game went into extra time.

On extra time the match was very heated but on the 104th minute Benzema gave Real the advantage (2-1). Atletico started risking more since with that result they were out of the tournament, but things didn’t worked as plan.

Thanks to all the open spaces Atletico left in the defense, Vinicius Jr (120+1′) was able to seal the victory for Real Madrid.

This goal form Vinicius was what he needed after the racial attack he faced right before tonights match. Some Atletico fans putted a sign saying “Madrid hates Real” and a brown. human like, inflatable wearing Vinicius shirt.

With this result Real advances to the semifinals giving us the chance to see another Classico but this time on the semifinals. If this happens Real Madrid is going to be looking for a revenge on what happened on the Supercopa final.
