A look into the first five liveries

A lot of expectations have been set around this year liveries for many teams that didn’t perform last year. As well, we have teams like Red Bull that are looking to defend both championship. As of today 5 of the 10 teams have already reviled their livery for this season: Haas F1 team, Red Bull racing, Williams, Alpha Romeo F1 team and Alpha Tauri.

Haas F1 team

Haas new livery came as the first of them all. The first thing that shined was the new title sponsor MoneyGram. The livery showed a black, white and red designe. This new sponsor is supposed to bring huge amount of cashflow to the team. they have even said that they will to be able to use all the budget that the FIA permits. This is probably going to help them compete with the top teams.

“I like the livery, it’s undoubtedly a more elevated and modernized look which is fitting as we move into a new era alongside MoneyGram as our title partner” expressed team boss Steiner

Their two pilots for this season are:

1. Kevin Magnussen with the No. 20
2. Nico Hulkenberg with the No. 27

Red Bull racing

The current champions revealed their livery this past 3rd of February. The color scheme didn’t really get any change from last year winning car. The big change is going to be in the US races. During this races the liveries are going to be fan designed. Red Bull are going to be the first team to have ever done this. With this car they are going to be trying to defend both titles they got this year.

Their two pilots for this season are:

1. Max Verstappen with the No. 1
2. Sergio Perez with the No. 11

Williams

Even though color scheme changes were specced due to new sponsorship from Gulf the livery showed almost the same color scheme as last year. They hope to be able to up the game with this year livery. They have made many changes to help with aerodynamics. Some of this changes have already been teased in their reveal but many more are expected.

“The FW45 is more aerodynamically efficient than the FW44, with more overall downforce and improve handling characteristics”

Their two pilots for this season are:

1. Alex Albon with the No. 23
2. Logan Sargeant with the No. 2

Alfa Romeo Formula 1 team

This is the last year of the Alfa Romeo sponsorship of this team. For this year they’ve unveiled a black and red livery with no major sponsor changes. They’ve said that this year the have improved the aerodynamics of the car. Alfa Romeo intend to seal their sponsorship with an astonishing year.

Their two pilots for this season are:

1. Valtteri Bottas with the No. 77
2. Zhou Guanyu with the No. 24

Alpha Tauri F1 team

Red bull’s second team Alpha Tauri unveiled their livery this 11th of February. The car showed almost the same color scheme as las years with som tones of reds added. This red addition comes from their new sponsor Orlen. No many details where given about major changes or upgrades with aerodynamics. We will have to wait until we see them on track to really know what are this changes.

Their two pilots for this season are:

1. Yuki Tsunoda with the No. 22
2. Nyck de Vries with the No. 21

This are only half of the liveries that we are going to be able to see in this 2023 season. Many more are to come before the season starts.
