Raphael Varane says good bye to France

The Manchester United player Raphael Varane says good bye to France’s National Team. The center back has decides that it’s time to retire from the National Team.

He had a very successful career with France as he won the World Cup and the Nations League.

He is also know for his incredible career with Real Madrid, but his performance with the National Team has nothing but success. One of the world’s best center backs, has nothing to envy to any other player.

The 29 year old didn’t see a lot of participation during Qatar’s 2022 World Cup due to an injury that he suffered in the first match. Even with this adversity, France was able to get to the final against Argentina. Raphael Varane was able to play 113 minutes of this match. He was sub off due to fatigue.

Varane played 93 games for his country.

“Representing our great country for a decade has been one of the greatest honors of my life. Every time I wore this very special blue jersey I felt immense pride. The duty to give it all, play my heart out and win every time we put on the field. I’ve been contemplating this for several months and deciding it’s the right time for me to retire internationally.” Raphael wrote in his social media “We brought home the Cup !! I will never forget it. I still feel every single one of the emotions felt on that day, July 15, 2018. That was one of the most amazing and memorable moments of my life.”
