FC Barcelona win their 100th El Clasico and extend their lead
FC Barcelona has now won their third El Clasico in a row. They won this past Sunday 2-1 to extend their lead at the top of La Liga.
Barcelona came into this game as the current table leader with nine points over Real Madrid. Madrid were looking to end Barca’s momentum in La Liga and their winning streak against them.
Barca are looking to win their first league title since 2019 and things are looking very good for them. With this victory they now have a 12 points lead.

The Spotify Camp Nou received Real Madrid and FC Barcelona for one of the most important game in La Liga. The game started with both team pushing for the opener. Courtois Managed to maintain a clean sheet for the first minutes of the game against a Barca that had many shots on target.
In the ninth minute Ronald Araújo scored an own goal which gave the the advantage to Real Madrid. This wasn’t enough to stop the Blaugrana’s offensive power.
Just before the first half came to an end Sergi Roberto managed to score for FC Barcelona (45′) to tie the game.
As the second half started Madrid lost a great opportunity as Barca made an error in the exit. Marco Asensio managed to score a goal to give Real the advantage, but it was ruled out by the VAR due to offside (81′).
With the match coming to an end, Franck Kessié scored the winning goal for FC Barcelona (90′ + 2′).
