Manchester United breeze by Real Betis in the Europa League

Thursday means Europa League! Manchester United faced Real Betis at Old Trafford looking to shake of their 7-0 defeat against Liverpool.

As the match started Real Betis managed to put United under pressure right away and almost scored a goal with less than 5 minutes of game. What they didn’t expect was the fast counter attack from Manchester. After an exceptional pass to Marcus Rashford, he managed to seal the first goal of the night (6′). Going forward from this point Manchester United dominated the game.

They left Real Betis with almost no chances. This didn’t stop the Spanish team as with a well perform kick from Ayoze Pérez they were able to tie the game (32′). The English were pushing harder and harder looking for the second goal, but an error by De Gea almost gave Betis the advantage.

There was no time to wast for Manchester in the second half. They came into the field hungry for a goal and it payed off. Several minutes after the restart Antony scored from out side of the box giving his team the advantage (52′).

United weren’t satisfied still and kept up the pressure. Once again, they found the back of the net with a great header from Bruno Fernandes (58′). Betis continued to suffer during the rest of the half. For the 4th time in the night Manchester United scored the goal that sentenced the match, thanks to a rebound that Wout Weghorst pushed in (82′).
