Wrexham advanced to League Two with the National League title
Wrexham, the team owned by the two Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElheney, are having a movie star season as they advance to the EFL League Two.
With their 3-1 victory over Boreham Wood, Wrexham have become champions of the National League and, therefore, have earned a spot in the EFL League Two for next season. Yesterday’s game gave all of us and the spectators a match to remember.
Having a Hollywood-like season, Wrexham have shown what they are capable of and still wants more. The next challenge that awaits them will be a hard one, but the willingness and devotion are there.
Boreham took the lead of the match within the first minute. Lee Ndlovu Scored a goal giving them the lead (1′). If the score stayed the way it was the host would have needed to win their next and last game to pass. They didn’t want this and they knew it.
Elliot Lee brought home the equalizer helping his teammates regain their confidence and spirit.
The game was very back and forth between both teams and it stayed that way until the end of the first half.
On the restart, Wrexham came with all the cylinders rolling. Paul Mullin knew what he had to do and with a great demonstration of skills gave the lead to his team (53′). The player that came as a free transfer in 2021 has become one of the most valuable players for the team.
He didn’t stop there, Mullin showed his value once more and secured the victory with a third goal (71′).
This victory gave made them National League champions and earned a spot in the EFL League Two.
