Moving to lap 15, Charles Leclerc took advantage of the degradation of Verstappen and took the lead of the race once again. After a few laps Leclerc started to suffer as well and had to pit leaving Perez as the new race leader.
A three way battle went on until Verstappen took the lead once more and the battle for P2 was on. Another close finaly with Sergio Perez involved but this time with Charles Leclerc.
At the end Leclerc took P2 in the final lap and Perez P3, but this was more than enough to take the second place in the championship.
