Blue Devils won the 2023 Pan American Ultimate Championship
Blue Devils become the first-ever Dominican team to win the Pan American Ultimate Championship with an unbeaten streak of 7-0.
The 2023 PAUC was hosted for the first time in the Dominican Republic at Los Establos, Punta Cana. This allowed many local players who don’t normally have this chance to show their skills at an international level.
Blue Devils, the actual Dominican National Champions, have been training since the announcement of the tournament back in November 2022. Ever since they have been working harder than ever to take their game to the next level. All the hard work paid off since from the beginning they came strong.
They completely dominated the Pool C winning all three of their games. From that moment on, all eyes were on them, and many said they were the team to beat.
The streak didn’t end there and the Devils made their way step by step. They faced strong opponents in the way like Flota Chancle (COL) in the Semifinal and Comunidad del Oso (COL) in the final.
Comunidad del Oso a 2 times champion of the tournament came looking for their third title. However, Blue Devils didn’t let their country down, giving them their first international victory. This team will be passing on the history books of the Dominican Ultimate Frisbee.
