Luton Town, also known as “the Hatters”, faced Bournemouth to close the gap with Nottm Forest and escape the relegation zone. They started very well with a 0-1 lead until the end of the first half. The score was later tied however just a couple of minutes away everything was stopped.

Lockyer fell into the ground in the 65th minute. Paramedics and staff rushed over to assist him.

The players from both teams were later sent into the dressing room while Tom Lockyer was still being attended. After the first aid was subministrated he was carried away on a stretcher. As this happened the crowd gave him a standing ovation.

The Hatters later published a statement confirming that what Tom Lockyer suffered was a cardiac arrest. However, they also said that he was already responsive by the time they took him off the field. This is a good sign for the player’s family and friends.

The game will be played on a later date still to be determined. The priority for the club is the health of their captain and that he is out of any danger.

We send him and his family the best of wishes! Write below any messages you have for him.
