Two Brighton fans who were visiting the city for their team’s Europa League last-16 first-leg game suffered from the insecurities of the Roman roads. As they were walking a gang of around 7 members robbed and attacked the two men.

The men ages 27 and 28 managed to escape and enter a nearby restaurant. There a worker called the emergency services that quickly transported them to a local hospital.

Fortunately, the condition of both fans is believed to not be serious. This is a relief for everyone and an investigation has been started to identify the attackers.

The English club, Brighton & Hove Albion, had warned about the dangers of street crime in Rome. They recommended everyone use the free shuttles to get and leave the stadium. However, these measures weren’t enough to prevent yet another attack.

On the other hand, the match will go on as planned and we expect to see a strong fight between both clubs. Both teams are having rough times in their domestic leagues but look to change their face in this competition.

What do you think about Rome after hearing about this attack?
