PSG are champions of France for the 12th time
PSG are champions of the 2023/24 Ligue 1 season after tying 3-3 against Le Havre and AS Monaco’s loss against Lyon.
PSG had a socking Saturday. Le Havre, the 15th team of the Ligue 1 managed to end their game tied 3-3 maintaining themself one spot away from relegation and Paris Saint-Germain from crowning themself as champions that night. However, on Sunday, AS Monaco had a 3-2 loss against Lyon and gave the crown to PSG. This is their 10th title in the past 13 Ligue 1 editions.
Monaco now sits 11 points behind Paris and with only three games left the race is over. Their new objective is to maintain Stade Brestois 29 (Brest) behind them and getting second place.
On the other hand, PSG has now won two of the four championships this season. Along with the Ligue 1, they have also won the French Super Cup. They now will face Dortmund in the Champions League semifinals and Lyon in the Coup de France final.
This could be Kylian Mbappe’s last season at the French club since everything points towards a move to Real Madrid next season. Nonetheless, this is a promising year for him and the club where they are one of the favorites to win both titles that remain to play.
