After eliminating Barcelona in the Europa League this week, United have lifted the EFL cup once again. They faced Newcastle at Wembley.

As the match started both teams were pushing for the goal. The problem for the Newcastle’s player was that Manchester United’s defensive line was almost imposible to penetrate. Thanks to this Manchester started to produce more goals opportunities than their rivals and it payed off. Casemiro scored the first goal for United with an incredible header (33′). Shortly after came Rashford and secured the second goal (40′).

The second half came around and Newcastle pushed even more than the first half. They hoped to get pass the incredible line Manchester had. This did happen once or twice, but De Gea was able to easily stop them.

The match ended with a well deserved victory for Manchester United 2-0. This becomes Erick ten Hag’s first ever trophy with his new team and just shows all the work and changes his made.

On the other hand, Newcastle didn’t get the chance to win their first trophy since 1969. It ended every hope the team had of winning a trophy this season.
