Carlos Alcaraz has the Argentina Open giving him his first title of the season. He won both set against Cameron Norrie.
This past Sunday we saw Carlos Alcaraz crown himself as the 2023 Argentina Open champion. He had an incredible run during this tournament where he only lost one set, against Laslo Djere.
Alcaraz came into this final as the No. 2 and Norrie came as the No. 12. Carlos ended the first set in just 36 minutes with a score of 6-3. The second set didn’t came as fast, but it was still won by him 7-5.
“I want to congratulate Norrie for a great week, you are an amazing player, really really though” said Alcaraz referring to Cameron Norrie after receiving his trophy.
This was Alcaraz’s first tournament due to the fact that he had to sit out of the Australian Open due to an injury. Here Novak Djokovic was crowned champion for the 10th time. Carlos had an injury in his right leg and lost the No. 1 ranking to Djokovic in the ATP ranking.
The next challenge for Carlos Alcaraz is going to be in Brazil where he will participate in the Rio Open.
