Miami Heat started the series with eyes on the target, the NBA Finals. They knew they needed to play their best games so far if they were to pass. They got to a really good start dominating the Celtics during the first three games. With that 3-0 lead many gave the series as over but Boston had other plans.

The Celtics managed to fight back and win the following three games by small margins. It was so that they managed to win Game 6 with a busser-beater layup from Derrick White.

With this, The Boston Celtics became the fourth team to force a Game 7 after coming from a 3-0 disadvantage.

The stage was set at the TD Garden as Boston was the home of this Game 7. Both teams looking for a pass to the Finals. The Celtics looking for their second Finals in a row, and the Heat looking to shake off last year’s defeat in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Boston started winning but was quickly overtaken by Miami who dominated from that moment onwards. It wasn’t the best night for the Celtics as they ended the game with 9 out of 42 3-point shots made. The Heat had more than 10 points in advantage after the first half.

The Boston Celtics managed to maintain Miami Heat from moving further but were unable to close the gap. However, in the fourth quarter, the Heat managed to open the gap even further. The game ended 103-84, almost a 20 points difference.

Jimmy Butler, one of the key players for the Heat won the Eastern Conference Finals MVP.
