Rodrygo pushes Real Madrid to the Copa del Rey trophy

Rodrygo pushed Real Madrid into a 2-1 Victory over Osasuna to win their 20th Copa del Rey trophy and their second major trophy of the season.

Real Madrid faced Osasuna in the Copa del Rey final after defeating FC Barcelona in the semifinals. Due to recent failures in La Liga Los Blancos really needed this victory to boost their morale for their match against Manchester City this Tuesday.

Consequently Madrid came out very strong into the field. The high pressure payed of really quick as with just 2 minutes in Rodrygo scored the first goal of the night. This made many belive Los Blancos were going to win this trophy like walking in the park. It’s true Madrid was pushing more still, but Osasuna took advantage of every opportunity they had. Adbe Ezzalzouli almost tied things before the end of the first half but it was clear just over the goal line.

The game continued with Madrid dominating and Osasuna capitilizing every opportunity past the beginning of the first half. Things changed for Los Rojillos when Lucas Torró scored to tie the game (58′). The team started to push more trying to have more the ball, but it was not easy as Real Madrid knew what they were doing and how to move things.

The celebrations were cut short as Rodrygo came once more and scored to give the lead yet again to Los Blancos (70′). After this Osasuna came crashing down and Real Madrid took contorle of the ball until the match ended.

This has become a great achievement for the team since in only 475 days they’ve been able to win every major cup they can, becoming the team to do it in the least amount of time.
