Juventus says goodbye to European football

UEFA banned Juventus from all European competitions for the upcoming season 2023-2024 due to financial fair play (FFP) rules break.

This past season many European clubs have been involved in many investigations, one of those clubs was Juventus. Juventus were being investigated due to a FFP rule break. They were sanctioned by officials mid-season with 10 points reduction that lost them their Champions League spot and made them finish in 7th needing to conform with a Europa Conference League spot.

However, everything has changed now since UEFA reached its verdict. They opened their investigation back in December. They’ve found Juve guilty of the charges and taken their spot for the Europa Conference League and given it to Fiorentina.

If you think this was all it’s not. UEFA handed them a €10m fine as well. This puts the club in a difficult situation where they are going to need to push very hard to overcome this during this season.

Juventus’ president isn’t going to appeal these charges even after he stated they aren’t real. “we have decided not to appeal this judgment. Despite this painful decision, we can now face the new season by focusing on the field and not on the courts.” claimed President Gianluca Ferrero.

In order to really overcome this situation, Juve is going to need to push hard in the league and cup. If they do it’s very probable that we see them back in Europe next season.

How is this situation going to affect the players? How will the fans be affected?
