Daniil Medvedev conquers his fourth ATP title at the Miami Open

Daniil Medvedev has conquered his fourth ATP title of the year after his victory over Jannik Sinner in the Miami Open last Sunday.

A sick Sinner faced off against an imponent Medvedev that came with all the cylinders rolling. The match ended after 1 hour and 34 minutes after two sets. The first one ended 7-5 and the second one 6-3.

Medvedev has been having one of the best seasons of his career. This is his fifth straight final and his fourth won. He also managed to win in Rotterdam, Doha, and Dubai. The only final he has lost this year has been against the number one seed, Carlos Alcaraz.

With 24 out of 25 wins in his last matches, Daniil Medvedev has demonstrated to everyone how skillful he is. On the other hand, Sinner wasn’t able to overcome one of his rivals. He has lost all 6 of their face-off.

Jannik Sinner stated that he wasn’t in his optimal condition that day and during the second set an ATP trainer came and gave him water and salt to help him, but it wasn’t enough. “It helped me a little bit but not enough,” said Sinner in the post-match interview.

Medvedev has demonstrated his power and ability on the hard court, but now comes the other part of the tournament. It now changes to the European clay-court season.

Will Daniil Medvedev be able to perform just as he has been doing on the clay court? what are your thoughts? we would love to hear from you in the comment section!
